The Chorale performs at least three major concerts annually at its home
in Turner Auditorium on the Tallahassee
Community College campus. These concerts include the Winter
Concert, the Spring Concert and the Summer Concert. The Summer Concert,
upon occasion, is held at other locations. The Summer Concert has
been held at Bethel AME Church on Orange Avenue and at the Senior Center
on North Monroe Street. The Chorale also shares its love of singing
with the community through performances at local events, such as the Festival
of Lights and Springtime Tallahassee. The Chorale does not charge
for its performances.
We also serve the Big Bend Community by performing at assisting living centers, nursing homes, retirement centers and other settings for those who are unable to attend cultural arts performances.
Performances of the Tallahassee Civic Chorale are made possible in part by the generous donations of its concert patrons, program ads, corporate sponsorships, fund raisers, grants provided by civic organizations such as the City of Tallahassee and the Cultural Resources Commission, and by the support of Tallahassee Community College.Proceeds from our summer concert also help fund a music scholarship at Tallahassee Community College, available for those students who sing with the Chorale.
