Chris Gorsuch sports an extensive resume in the fields of the performing arts and information services. He has been involved with the Tallahassee Civic Chorale for many years, starting in 1989, when he first arrived in Tallahassee. He has held several offices with the Chorale prior to becoming its President, including that of Treasurer (1991-1992), Librarian (1993-1999), and Secretary (2000-2006). In his "real job" Chris currently holds the impressive title of Head of Collection Management Services for the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library System where he supervises the acquisition, cataloging, processing and delivery of all library materials throughout the six-branch system. Previous to this, he was head of cataloging at the Florida State University library. He has been involved in several professional library associations, including the North Florida Library Association, the American Library Association, the Florida Library Association and the Public Library Association. The other Tallahassee performing arts and choral organizations with which Chris has been involved include the Tallahassee Little Theatre, the First Baptist Church Choir, the First Baptist Church Bells of Praise, the First Baptist Church Cornerstone Ensemble, the Tallahassee Community Chorus, the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Theatre a La Carte. Whatever group Chris has been involved with, he has thrown himself into it wholeheartedly, contributing much time and talent to the success of that organization.
